Anybody object to the removal of this forum? Doesn't really seem to be used, and I haven't ran the Dink Smallweb site in a long time. If nobody cares, I'm going to take it down in a few days...

I don't even remember what the "source code" is. Could I just hunt down all the .C files, then leave it up to somebody else (if they're so inclined) to bundle this in with each D-MOD? Or, is there more to it that's compiled. Is the map encrypted? I just don't remember. Ha ha. Been too long.

Now, seriously, you could also release you dir.ff'd graphics, they were compiled.. If you want to ofcourse :)

to be honest with you... i think this is the *first* time i've ever posted in this forum... and the first time i've looked at it at all in the months.
Not bashing it.. just haven't used it and letting you know is all from my end of things.

What would be really nice is to set up an archive with all the posts of this forum - and then close the forum. Some topics were really interesting.

In fact, I managed to do the archive :)
I took all the pages in /forum/Forum1/HTML. Then, with a little bit of Perl scripting, I also grabbed all the email/bio pages.
Still with Perl, I modified all the pages so they refer to local copies of pages/pics instead of pages at prowler-pro, and last I generated a completed topics list page.
You can see it at http://www.dinkfr.ovh.org/misc/ppro-dink-forum.tgz (530 kB).
Is it ok? :)
