Hi Folks,

I've been enjoying playing various DMods. Sooner or later, I'll probably develop some myself.

In the mean time... I've been recording some game soundtrack music - just a few tracks done now, but more to come.

Please come check it out http://doctoroakroot.com/gamemusic . I'll be glad to make a special licensing deal (i.e. free for credit in the DMod) for DMod authors.

Thanks (and thanks for all the great DMods :D )

Dr O

As far as I know, No.
But it seems you can make a wav from an MP3 using WinAmp (even if I didn't figured it out ;))
Or maybe this wasn't really the question?
Maybe you meant, what the point in putting heavy .wav in a DMod?...
Well, I should try to hear these musics first to reply again ;)

Well, you can always use wav's as music in your d-mod (as in Red Shield), but the size would grow by a few MB's per song, at least, if you want to keep the quality at a minimum standard.
Then again, I would still download the d-mod (ADSL connection) but I don't think many others will...
However, when Legend's Tale is finished, me and Tallis will probably release 3 versions : One with only the standard thingies, one with better sound and graphics and possibly even one with voice acting (not for dialog though...).
I think that's a good way to make sure everyone will get the most out of their connection.

All the music on my game music page is available as midi files. I'm just presenting is in mp3 because the mp3.com platform is already there and I market all my music for film/TV licensing there.

I also use wavs as my music because when my friend makes them on his keyboard the midi is great, but in dink sucks ass. When i release the full version it will be on a cd, so i'm thinking about having the cd be an audio/info cd and using the play cd track command. Haven't messed around much with that to see how well it works, but i know wavs are great because you can loop them perfectly, unlike the annoying midis.
