I suddenly change my company name from Kornelije Petak Research to some other name so from now on... Planet Dryx is under development of SnowFlake Software... If you already heard for a company with that name tell me to change it because I don't want to get into law conflict... Anyway, it sounds little less egocentric... Web Site will soon be changed so it can look better... this one really annoy me... |

You should register that name, or atleast see if anyone else has registered it. I don't know how, but Wyndo should as he registered Prowler-Pro. |

You can register a domain name at www.networksolutions.com . It's $35 a year. However, this is just so you can have a website with that name. In order to "register" a name as being your own, you have to file for a trademark on it. I don't know much about trademarks (although I have copyrighted software before). I'm not sure how much it costs (probably not much) or how to go about doing it. Maybe try www.ask.com and see if you can find out how to trademark a name. |

FYI, Prowler Productions hasn't been "Trademarked" although we have fair use after operating under the name for 5 years. In addition, in early 1999 we formed a legal "partnership" which included a Tax-ID number and the right to operate "as a business." If you wanted to have a real business, this is what you have to do, file for a tax ID number. Most people though, especially hobbiests, will call themselves a "business" or "company" (even coming up with a name, as we did for the first few years) without making it official. |
