posted 01-04- 08:25 PM CT (US) This is just an idea I had. Has anyone tried this...Drawing the graphics freehand and scanning them into the computer. Applying the Dink Palette to them and saving them as a bmp. Is this possible? Or could you take a photo on a digital camera and do the same thing to it and put it into the game? Just wondering if it would work. I dont want to spend a bunch of time trying it if someone else has already found that you cant do this. Thanks ahead of time for your responses.

I see no reason why it wouldn't. I've scanned in pictures and saved them as bitmaps without any problems.

OK. I'll try it. The only reason I was asking is because I tend to make better pictures by hand than with the mouse. Not that either are incredible; I'm not an artist by any means. But, I want my game to be unique to me, rather than a take-off of Dink. That way I can say I created it. Well, everything except the actual engine that it runs off of. I don't know anything about how that works. Thanks for your response.

Let me tell you... I used my scanner to take pics for Planet Dryx, and it seems allright... after all I am using the face of some member of my family as the main character...
Anyway, I am a big fan of automatic weapons so you can see how i drawed pics and scanned them on www.kprdinkpage.homestead.com/planetss.html... And please tell me what you think at all... because noone ever comment it... I wonder if anyone ever took a look at it...
Also, you can see info on my new DMOD on www.kprdinkpage.homestead.com/planet.html so tell me what you think... if you are good with graphics I could use your hand...
