Ive been tryin to make this scripting thing work for at least 2 months now. I blow at it. I cant get it to do anything at all... the best thing ive done so far is figured out how to view the c files. Ive downloaded 3 of those help files but they all say the same shit. Ive got some hella good ideas, i just need to figure out how to use them. The best way to make scripts is to not start from scratch. Find some script that does something that you want to do. Change that script so it does exactly what you want it to do. (eg. Change all the things everyone says to something else.)
Start small. Small scripts that just contain talking, then move to a conversation that gives a question and multiple choices, then make a script that has sprites moving, etc...
Attempting to decode the existing scripts in the original Dink adventure can be helpful.
