What would you give to Seth to make him convert Dink Smallwood to 16 bit color? Wouldn't that be the best???

From The making of "Mystery Island":[quote]The ship looked kind of crappy after the palette conversion. I contemplated adding 16 bit support (I've rewritten most of the routines for 8 and 16 bit support for new projects already), but it really didn't make sense for Dink, as all the other art would not benefit from it and the framerate would take a serious hit.[quote] That was what Seth thought in 98. But now, you may mail him to change his mind... |

Unfortunatelly I already asked him to convert Dink to 16 bit color because we are loosing too much of our time to get a nice looking graphic in dink's pallete. He said that improving Dink 4ever is not the way, so he declined it. I also asked him would he implement the string in DinkC and he said no because he is doing a game in Python in which this is possible. String would do this...input (&&stringname); if (&&stringname == "Die Dink") kill_this_task(); or something like this. He keeps telling no, but we won't blame him. He himself someday said that he is a lazy programmer. After all, it is not something which can be done in few minutes...Anyway, thanks him for what he did and let's expect his new game which supports python scripting language. Anyone interested should tell me and I will post here the URL where you can find info about the Python and learn how to program it even before Seth's game is released. Thanks to all who read this... |
