in the tut1 file it says to run dink edit in your new dmod file you "do this: dinkedit -game ATAEM" i dont know what that means, do i type it somewhere? where? i know i sound really stuped but i need to know its the only thing holding me back!

This is if you run the dmod editor from a dos prompt (or windows run box). Most people use the front end nowadays though.

So if you want to use this tutorial you can use the front end or the command prompt way

I use the dos prompt to start thing, because it's quicker and doesn't give any problems. In your dinksmallwood directory (The main one) is a directory called dink. This can be seen as the dmod for the main game. You have to type this directory name into your command line. So if you want to edit the main game you type :
c:\DinkSmallwood>dinkedit -game dink

Uh... i know that everyone says to use a frontend or dos prompt but i found it easier if you are editing the same dmod All the time to copy and paste the dinkedit.exe in to your dmod dir and then put a shortcut to the dinkedit.exe in your subdirectory on the desktop...
