Hi. I have one question about editing the file start-1.d. I am currently trying to edit it through a DOS prompt, but when I search of the sp-x line, nothing comes up. I've tried this for all of the start-*.d files, and I would like to know if the .d files are what Mr. Seth meant by start-1.c. Thanks!

Umm...sorry guys, But when I said sp-x, I meant sp_x, and I did find a 'sp', but when I did they editing it said, the entrance screen to dink.exe was black except for a blue cursor |

NO!!! STOP!!! You do not mess with the .d files. They are what you end up with after you have compiled your .c files. It is a ways to keep people from copying your work. And you should download "Dink C" if you do not have C++ to work with. That will let you read the .c files. The Source Code for Dink (the .c files) are in a zipped file in the develop folder. You can look at it there and copy the start file into you dink folder to fix your mess. You can get a copy of "Dink C" at Hope this work. ~~NeonWaters~~ |

There is no 'dink C', except as part of Dink. You can make dink C files in a normal text editor. There is a Dink C Editor which is a windows text editor with a nice help file (has an index with all the commands and the function), you might want to download that. |

I think the "Dink C" being referred to is probably the file DinkC.txt, which is a text file listing a lot of the commands and a few techniques used in the scripts. This is in the developer folder, and it's essential reading. |
